Online Registration Frequently Asked Questions
When can I register?
Registration for all sports is open now. After May 31st late fees will apply. In order to avoid late fees and possible work duty buyout fees the Activities Association strongly encourages you to register as early as possible. Please carefully read the Activities Association Work Duty Policy for related information.
What sports can I register online for?
All sports that QASAA offers will be available for online registration. This includes all intramural and CYC sports.
Will paper registrations still be accepted?
To fully realize the benefit of online registration for both the registrants and the sports Lay Directors, paper registrations will no longer be accepted.
Will my qasaa login id work?
Unfortunately your qasaa login will not work on the new system. You will be required to create a new registration on the online registration system.
Can I have more than one online registration login?
The online system tracks registrations by households, and retains the registration information from year to year. Having more than one login complicates this and is strongly discouraged. The system has a series of checks to prevent multiple logins for the same household. If you are a team manager, you must be the primary registrant, not your spouse. If both husband and wife are managers, please contact

Can I choose my USERID?
No, USERID’s are assigned at the time of your initial registration. USERID’s are almost always comprised of the primary registrant’s first initial and full last name. For example, when John Smith registers, the system will assign his USERID as JSmith. Consequently, when Joe Smith registers his assigned USERID will be JSmith1 and so on. USERID’s are permanent and cannot be changed. If you forget your USERID or password the system does have an automated process that will allow you to recover either one.
What are the payment options?
All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) and debit cards are accepted.
Will there still be in-person registrations?
We will hold one in-person registration session on Sunday May 24th 2009 from 9am-12pm. We will have several computers setup allowing in-person registrants to sign up through the system.
Is the online system secure?
Yes. The online system uses the latest industry standards to ensure your privacy is protected. The online system does not store any credit card information.
How is work duty scheduled?
For each sport, every household will be required to fulfill a work-duty obligation. At registration time, you will have the opportunity to schedule your work duty shift online. Both Volleyball and Soccer registrants will be able to select from all available work duty shifts. Please see the Work Duty Policy for more information.
I’m a team manager, how do I get a work duty exemption code?
Team managers need to contact the Lay Director of their sport to obtain a one-time use work duty exemption code.
How are work duty and uniform deposits handled?
Failure to fulfill a work duty obligation or failure to return a uniform will result in a charge against the reference number of the credit card used for registration. Additionally, the system will block any future registrations until the matter is resolved. The details are defined within the Terms and Conditions of online registration.
What is “open” and “closed”?
CYC classifies a player as ‘open’ if that individual participates in another league, for the same sport, at that same time as the CYC season. Teams are not declared ‘opened’ or ‘closed’ until the 5th grade. Indoor soccer is not considered as the same sport as outdoor soccer, therefore the player would not be considered "open".
