To coach in the CYC Program the following CYC mandated requirements must be completed before the roster turn-in date. *

OR

For minors (under 18), a completed Code of Ethical Conduct for Students Volunteering or Working with Minors Form must be returned to the Church office before the roster can be approved (signed) by the parish priest.

The FIRST thing you MUST do is download, print, sign and return (w/payment) the three forms above to the Rectory or your Lay Director.

3) Obtain an ID Card

If you are a Manager/Head Coach, you must take the Coaching Concepts class and will receive a Coaching Concepts Card. This will be all you need and is your primary card you surrender to the referrees/umpires at all games.  If you are assisting, you will need an adult CYC card, which never expires either.

Coaching Concepts ID Card (required for all Managers/Head Coaches)

All managers are required to complete the CYC "Coaching to Make Positive Difference" training program. The program is mandated by the Archdiocese. Managers who do not have an ID number cannot be placed on the CYC roster and will be unable to coach.  There is no grace period.  The ID card must be presented to the official (umpire/referee) before the start of all CYC sanctioned games. More information is available here: Coaching Concepts.

CYC ID Card (required for all Assistant Coaches who do not have a coaching concepts card)

All Coaches must have a valid Adult CYC ID Card. If you need a card, check the CYC web site for scheduled ID card sessions. Adult CYC cards never expire. Please bring verification of Birth Date: Birth certificate, baptismal certificate (must have birth date on it), current or expired CYC ID card, passport, valid driver’s license.

4) Protecting Gods Children (required for ALL Managers and Coaches)

The Archdiocese of St. Louis has initiated a sexual-abuse prevention program. Entitled "Protecting God's Children," the program is being provided at no cost to parishes, schools, and archdiocesan agencies. All employees and volunteers who work with children on a regular basis are mandated to attend a presentation of the program.  More information is available at here: Protecting God's Children Program
