Queen of All Saints Volleyball Skills Assessments 

If your player wishes to opt-in to the Volleyball Skills Assessments, please indicate at time of registration

Where: Queen of All Saints Gym

When: May 16th (Makeup May 30th, 2026)

Time: 5th grade: 10 am – 11:30 am

            7th grade: 12 pm - 1:30 pm

Skills: We will be evaluating all participants ability to perform the following skills:

• Serving

• Passing

• Setting

• Hitting

• Communication

• Awareness

• Movement

• Coachability

Process: The Skills Assessments process is being held for players that wish to participate on a team that will compete against other schools similarly evaluated players. As a result of the evaluations a new team will be created. Players not chosen as part of the evaluation will be returned to their original team.

• Please drop your player off 10-15 minutes before start time (We ask that parents are not present in the gym)

• Each participant will get a random number for anonymity and tracking

• Non-partial evaluators will be present to evaluate the players based on a list of predetermined skills for their sport. Coaches evaluations will also be considered

  • • Each evaluator will have a score sheet and will conduct their own evaluation separately. The scores will be combined cumulatively to determine final rankings of players

• Upon completion of the Skills Assessments and decisions on outcomes a coach will be placed

  • • Practice day and time will be determined after evaluations are completed

• Using team size guidelines, players chosen to be on the competitive team will be placed together

• Players not chosen to be on a competitive team will be returned to their original roster

  • • We intend to keep Non-competitive teams constant every year, with changes made only due to creating a competitive team or changing player numbers. Non-competitive players may be reassigned, however, based on the evaluation process reducing the number of players on their team

After the evaluations have concluded, I will reach out to each parent informing them of the outcome.
